Rose and Garden Festival Art Trail 2024

Exhibition and Photographic Competition

In conjunction with the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival and the Waikerie Flower Show, the Rain Moth Gallery will be sponsoring an Art and Photographic Competition, open to both adult and students. Title “At the Bottom of the Garden” the public will also be able to vote for a viewer’s choice award.  Please contact the gallery (see below) or check our Facebook site for information and entry condition.

While visiting the gallery’s exhibition rooms also enjoy the gift shop which features a range of locally produced arts, craft, jewellery, metalwork, ceramics, textiles, glassware and books.  The Rain Moth gallery is also a Visitor Information Outlet, so pop in for some local knowledge and learn about other public artwork to see in town.  It is also a great spot to start your lookout tower, riverfront and spectacular cliff top walk to the silo art.

Riverland 30th Anniversary Rose and Garden Festival

“Create a Garden” Art/Craft Competition.

A number of Riverland Primary school classes have been busy creating a garden or floral wreath using any combination of art medium.

In addition individual primary school aged students are invited to design their own “arty” garden using the A4 template available from their school or downloadable from the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival webpage (Schools Competition A4 downloadable template, click here to download)

Completed individual student entries will be collected from participating schools or may be scanned and emailed to glenysrmatthews@gmail.com.

Entries close on Monday 14th October.

Competition Details:

  • Entries have a starting point of the Rose and Garden Festival Logo flower providing the opportunity for students to add to the picture and create their own garden or flower design.
  • The name of student, school and Year level will need to be written at the top of the entry page.

Prizes from Zart Art and Bunnings will be available for the winners in each class section and for individual entries for Rec/1, 2/3/4 and 5/6. These will be distributed to winners following the Rose and Garden Festival.

Both class and individual entries will be judged and displayed at the Barmera Soldier’s Memorial Hall next to the Bonney Theatre on the Saturday & Sunday of October 19th & 20th and Saturday & Sunday of October 26th & 27th, from 10am – 2:00pm during the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival.
